Terms of use

Last updated: October 2026

This is a translation; the German Nutzungsbedingungen are legally binding.

1. Scope and provider

These terms apply to the use of Treadmill (treadmill.studio). The provider is Ideomo UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kolonnenstr. 8, 10827 Berlin (imprint). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

Treadmill schedules Instagram posts (Reels and carousels) into weekly slots and publishes them through Meta's interfaces to Instagram and, if you connect one, to your Facebook Page. For accounts no interface allows, it sends an email reminder and you post it yourself.

Publishing depends on Instagram and Facebook. Meta may delay or reject posts or change features; we have no influence on that. Instagram's and Facebook's own terms apply in addition.

In the Studio you produce videos with an avatar: Treadmill generates voice recordings and video clips through third-party providers, checks the clips and puts them together. What a provider generates can differ from your script; you decide whether a clip fits.

3. Prices, subscription and credits

Treadmill costs a monthly subscription; the price is shown under Billing before you subscribe. The subscription renews every month and can be cancelled at any time to the end of the current billing period, under Billing or by email. Without an active subscription your data stays, but scheduled posts are not published.

Video clips and voiceovers in the Studio are paid with credits, which you buy in advance in packs. What they cost (credits per generated second of clip, per 1,000 characters of script) is shown under Billing before they are generated. Credits are deducted when a clip or voiceover is generated, even if you don't like it afterwards; if the provider delivers nothing, you get them back. Credits do not expire, have no cash value, are not paid out and are not transferable. If we terminate your account without good cause, we refund purchased credits you haven't used.

Optionally, Treadmill tops up your balance automatically: you choose a pack and a threshold and save a card with Stripe for it. When your balance falls below the threshold, we buy the pack at its then current price and charge the card, at most three times within 24 hours. You can switch auto top-up off under Billing at any time; the card is then removed. If a charge is declined, it pauses until you save a card again.

All prices are final prices including VAT. Payment is through Stripe, with the payment methods offered there. If a payment is refunded or charged back, we take back the credits it bought.

4. Right of withdrawal for consumers

Withdrawal notice. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded. To exercise it, you must inform us (Ideomo UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kolonnenstr. 8, 10827 Berlin, kontakt@treadmill.studio) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (such as an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day we are informed of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result. If you requested the subscription to begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount proportionate to what has been provided until you informed us of your withdrawal, compared with the full contract.

Early expiry for credits. Credits are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Your right of withdrawal for a credit purchase, including an automatic top-up, expires once we have added the credits to your balance, after you expressly consented to our beginning before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. We ask for both at checkout.

Model withdrawal form. If you want to withdraw from the contract, complete and return this form: “To Ideomo UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kolonnenstr. 8, 10827 Berlin, kontakt@treadmill.studio: I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the provision of the following service / the supply of the following digital content (*): … Ordered on (*) / received on (*): … Name of consumer(s): … Address of consumer(s): … Signature (only if this form is notified on paper), date. (*) Delete as appropriate.”

5. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Your details must be accurate, in particular your email address.
  • Keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account.
  • Only connect Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages you are allowed to manage.

6. Your content

The rights to your posts (videos, images, texts) stay with you. You grant us only the rights we need to run Treadmill: to store and process your content (for example, convert images to another format), show it through the share link, and send it to Instagram and Facebook at the time you chose.

An avatar showing a real person may only be created with that person's consent, for videos they agreed to. You are responsible for holding the necessary rights to your content and for it complying with the law and with Instagram's and Facebook's policies.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use Treadmill to

  • distribute unlawful content or infringe the rights of others, such as copyright or personality rights,
  • send spam or circumvent Instagram’s and Facebook’s policies,
  • attack or overload Treadmill or query it automatically without permission.

If you break these rules, we can remove content and suspend or terminate your account.

8. Availability

We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance or outages on our side or at Meta can delay posts or stop them from appearing. Check important posts after they are published.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and to the extent of any guarantee given. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaching an essential contractual obligation, meaning one whose fulfilment makes using Treadmill possible in the first place and on which you may rely, and then limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise, liability is excluded.

10. Term and termination

You can terminate your account at any time by writing to datenschutz@treadmill.studio; we then delete it with all its data (see the privacy policy). We can terminate with four weeks' notice by email, and without notice for good cause, such as a breach of these terms.

A subscription doesn't end with the account by itself: cancel it under Billing first, or we cancel it with the deletion to the end of the current billing period.

11. Changes

We can change these terms for a valid reason, such as new features or a change in the law. We inform you by email at least four weeks in advance. If you don't agree, you can terminate your account before then.

12. Privacy

How we process your data is described in the privacy policy.

13. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually live remain unaffected. If you are a merchant, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin. If a provision is invalid, the others remain valid.
